This text book of Physics has been written for class-XII in accordance with the revised course approved by the National Curriculum Committee formed under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Islamabad. The manuscript has also been cleared by the National Review Committee. The main objective of this project is to maintain pace with the modern progress and developments in order to boost the of our higher secondary students. advaard of Physics
Rapid expansions and sin Physics, such as Laser, Fiber optics, Micro-electronics and Com munications, High temperature Super conductivity, Energy Physics, Bio-Physics, etc. have made an ex tensive urge to acquaint our young students at the pre-University stage with the latest trends of the sub ject at the onset of the twenty first century excepted to usher a new era of science and technology. As such, an attempt has been made to the modernise the teaching material to a great an extent as possible within the limits of the level of the students of class XII. To meet this requirement the authors have tried to emphasize the fundamental principles in a simple manner, to make it easy to understand and grasp the subject from the point of view of the basic concepts
as well as the allied applications of the subject. Solved examples, questions and unsolved problems have been disperessed throughout the topic covered in ten chap ters of the book. Authors have unsparingly consulted various pertinent references and text books related to the contents.
This is an official textbook for higher secondary clas ses (for pre-medical and pre-engineering groups) in Pakistan in general and the province of Sindh in particular. AHMS
